Forest Legacy Program

This USDA-Forest Service program is a voluntary cooperative effort between the U.S. Forest Service and the State of Texas that works to conserve ecologically important forests in Texas through conservation easements. If you have qualifying land that you wish to remain in its natural state, the U.S. Forest Service will fund 75% of the easement purchase cost.
